Welcome to the world of sex clubs.
In 2019, I met two seasoned swingers during a yoga retreat in the distant and beautiful Trancoso, Brazil. They appeared to be two reserved German women — but nothing could have been further from the truth. After our week in Trancoso, we became friends, and they introduced me to the fascinating world of sex clubs.
First: Spain
My first experience was in a Spanish sex club.
My friends went straight to the lockers and came back dressed in latex outfits. I, on the other hand, was sitting at the bar in a modest little dress, sipping gin and tonics. Within minutes, they had both found a charming Spanish guy and I had lost my company. The atmosphere in the club was warm and cozy, even on my own. I sat at the bar — no one got too close, though I did catch a few flirtatious glances. A couple next to me slowly started inching closer.
After a few gin tonics, I thought… well, let me make a move too so I started kissing the couple.It was actually really sweet!
After that, I went looking for my friends, but they were nowhere to be found, lost somewhere in the dark rooms. Wandering through the BDSM “torture chambers” was quite the experience. An older woman, probably in her 60s, dressed in a kinky outfit, invited me to whip her husband. I didn’t need to be asked twice. The atmosphere was deliciously free and open. I walked through the rooms as if I were in a museum, occasionally stopping to admire a striking “artwork” a gangbang, a threesome, or one of my friends going at it passionately.

After that experience, many more followed. Not every place has the same warm and cozy vibe as the Spanish clubs, though. One of my other favorites is Club Boudoir in London. It’s an amazing bar with live music, a top-tier bar on its own, and then, as the night unfolds, it turns into a boudoir-style affair. A gangbang of classy and well-mannered Brits in Victorian-inspired settings. I was there with a lovely man, and I went down on a woman en plein public. Afterwards, I invited her and her boyfriend to join me and my partner in the dark room. We ended up having absolutely delicious sex!
What I’ve learned?
- Communication is essential: Talk about your boundaries and desires in advance.
- Respect others: Everyone has their own comfort zone.
- Safety first: Always use protection and maintain good hygiene.
- Be yourself: Sex clubs are spaces for self-expression and pleasure.
- No two sex clubs are the same — they’re all very different and personal. One I absolutely love, another I find awful. For me, the atmosphere depends entirely on the crowd. Sometimes it’s amazing, other times a bit less so.
